It’s not exactly unexpected but Microsoft will have Windows 10 Mobile on the market before the end of this year. We’ve had our suspicions concerning the arrival of the mobile OS but they were ones that Microsoft hadn’t put to bed.

At least, until they revealed that Windows 10 Mobile would be arriving on existing Lumia phones by December this year, a reveal that was done via the Lumia Facebook page.

There will be a couple of restrictions when it comes to getting the update though. Mobile service providers will have to step up in order to push out the update, of course, and if that hurdle is cleared then users will need to make sure they they tick a few boxes.

At least 8GB of storage will be needed for the update and users will have to be running the Denim update in order for the Windows 10 Mobile update to work. So you might want to get on that in the meantime and hope that MTN, Cell C, Telkom and Vodacom sort out their end while you do so.
