Samsung is known for putting their handsets through a lot of punishment before releasing them onto the market and they’ve just released another video showing what they do to their latest crop of flagships.

The video release is in response to a recent video which claimed that the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge are prone to bending and even breaking in the right conditions. Which makes sense, because smartphones are not really designed to flex beyond a certain point.

Samsung’s has gone on record as saying that 80 pounds of force applied in the middle of a Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge will not be enough to damage the phone. And they have the video to prove it.

Just to give you an idea of what you can expect in the video below, in order to replicate the results you see here you would have to  apply around 40kg of pressure in the centre of your phone while both ends are held in place in order to replicate this test. More than that… you’d probably break your phone. And any other phone you care to name.
