You have to love those guys who leak details early. The companies who have their surprises spoilt – not so much. But there’s a very good chance that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S6 Active, which isn’t anywhere near official just yet, has leaked early.

GSM Arena was sent images that are apparently the S6 Active handset, with front and back views of the rugged handset in evidence. The design is quite sturdy, with waterproofing likely – though not confirmed just yet.

Samsung’s expected to be using a large 3500mAh battery for the S6 Active, although they’ll be dropping the fingerprint sensor by the look of things.

Other specs expected are the same as Samsung’s main flagship, like the Exynos 7240 processor, that qHD 5.1-inch display and 16MP/5MP camera setup. There’s no other info about when we can expect to see the handset but it’s almost certain to be seen. Watch this space.
