Samsung’s a big company. Far too big to plug every single leak that the company manages to spring, which is why a lot of their new devices pop up online before they’re official. And it’s happened again.
This time around it’s the Galaxy A9, a to-be-launched handset which showed itself in a Geekbench test. This isn’t the first time that this has happened to this particular handset but it’s always nice to get some extra confirmation.
The Galaxy A9 (known as the SM-A9000) will feature a Snapdragon 620, an octa-core processor that forms part of the new midrange for Qualcomm. The handset will have LTE, a 6-inch display, 3GB of RAM (Samsung’s been making that cheaper), 32GB of storage and a 16MP rear camera. It’s looking like the mid-range is going to be impressive overall next year.
