It seems that the the recent closure of some of Samsung’s online services, like their Video and Media Hub, has prompted fears that the company’s other services might also be heading for a shutdown. But there’s at least one feature that won’t be going anywhere, and that is the company’s ChatOn messaging app.

A report from The Korea Times claimed that ChatOn would be closing in certain regions, a claim that was refuted by Samsung to tech website The Verge yesterday.

Samsung said “…the recent rumors concerning ChatOn have been false, as ChatOn will continue to be offered to consumers worldwide.” Which is a fantastic thing as, though ChatOn isn’t the front-runner when it comes to messaging apps, they still provide communication for around 100 million users.
