Samsung is getting more and more prolific and their latest partnership is going to see those who love to stream their music, over services like Spotify (which is rumoured to be heading to South Africa), being very pleased indeed.
The company has announced, via their Samsung Tomorrow website, that they have teamed up with streaming service Spotify to create a set of wireless speakers that can be controlled directly through the Spotify app, via Spotify Connect. The Samsung Wireless Audio Multiroom series will be controllable whether users have a single speaker at their disposal or several, hence the Multiroom designation. It’ll be possible to stream music and control the speakers in every room in a house, if that’s your thing.
Samsung’s Eric Jung said “More than ever before, Samsung is giving consumers seamless ways to better integrate sound and music in their daily lives. We are excited to bring Spotify’s premium streaming music service to our Wireless Audio Multiroom ecosystem. It gives our customers more options to connect to and customize their favorite music taking the listening experience to the next level.”
Next up, Samsung is looking to give users access to more streaming features through their technology – though the company has not laid out what will be next on the list.
