Samsung might have something completely new on the way when it comes to wireless charging on their mobile devices, something that the company has implemented in their kit in the past.
This info comes by way of Samsung themselves, who have released a post on the Samsung Tomorrow site detailing the history of wireless charging.
The reason for this seems to be to outline just how fast wireless charging has developed, with the number of components required for wireless charging dropping as the cost of making these chargers fell. There is a point to these hints that Samsung has something new on the way.
By far the biggest giveaway though is Samsung’s closing statement: “It is expected that 2015 will be a landmark year for the growth of wireless charging deployment, as wireless charging stations will begin to appear in more and more public places. Samsung will accelerate to democratize this wireless charging technology with compelling smartphones. With our upcoming Galaxy smartphones, users will be able to enter a new wireless world like never before.”
