We’re only going to be seeing final results later this month but Samsung are on track to post a very nice set of financial results for the third quarter of 2015.

How do we know? Because Samsung have let a few people sneak a peek at the upcoming results and there’s an operating profit of $6.25 billion on the cards. The result is a nearly 80% increase on the same period last year and this is despite a drop in expected shipments of the Galaxy S6. Samsung have made up the difference in other places.

But a big chunk of its revenue generation is coming not from the mobile division, where you’d expect them to making all their cash. Instead, they’re making money from supplying processors, to themselves and to the likes of Apple. We’ll have a more detailed look at Samsung’s financials when they become, you know, official.
