Samsung’s budget lineup of 32-inch TVs more or less terminates with the UA32H5100, which is the first TV from the lower end of the product roster to feature a Full HD display.
The Samsung UA32H5100 is part of the company’s 5 Series of TV sets, boasting the aforementioned 1,920 x 1,080 display. Combined with their HyperReal Picture Engine, 100MHz Clear Motion Rate and Wide Color Enhancer Plus technology, this is the best screen you’re going to get from a TV at this price point.
The UA32H5100 also has a decent crop of speakers for users to pair with their HD screens. Dolby and DTS are supported, with the Dolby Digital Plus and AAC forming one side of the sound tech and DTS Studio Sound and DTS 2.0 making up the rest. There are a pair of down-firing 10W full range speakers in place to translate that tech into the soundtrack of your entertainment life.
Unfortunately this highly competitive price point doesn’t allow for the UA32H5100 being a Smart TV, you need to nudge the old bank account a bit harder to get some of Samsung’s smart features to fall out but it’s still a nifty unit all the same.
In terms of connectivity, users will have dual HDMI inputs, the same number of USB ports and a Composite and Component connection to look forward to.
Keep in mind that this is still Samsung’s base model of TV screen, albeit an HD one. It’s perfect for users who want the best possible picture but who aren’t too concerned about any other wireless or streaming features built in. For those other folks, Samsung has more than a few TVs for you as well.
