Samsung has plans afoot to take over the mobile world, if the range of devices that they have at their command is any indication. But every collection of tech has to have a leader and, in the case of Samsung’s smartphones, that leader is the Galaxy S 5.
It’s been on the market for some time and by most accounts is Samsung’s most advanced phone to date. We’re almost uncertain about how they’re going to top this one.
But top what, exactly? Well, the Galaxy S 5 is a 5.1-inch smartphone that features a Super AMOLED HD display, so it likely looks better than your TV screen. It’s not all good looks though, you’re also going to have some mighty nifty hardware on hand, as it were.
Samsung’s flagship boasts a Snapdragon 801, a 2.5GHz quad-core chip from Qualcomm. It also features 32GB of storage and support for up to 64GB of microSD storage, meaning that it packs as much of a punch as most tablets on the market today. There’s 2GB of RAM to play with and although it sounds like we’re describing a computer up to this point, it also features a 13MP rear and 2MP front camera for voice calls and on-the-go snaps.
But don’t think that this hardware is all that Samsung has for users. The S 5 also comes with a PayPal-certified fingerprint sensor, for your security obviously, and Samsung have waterproofed their flagship to boot so it should survive just about every hazard you can throw its way.
We haven’t even touched on the range of apps available to this Android 4.4 smartphone, nor have we explored its compatibility with Samsung’s Gear range of smartwatches but it’s all there, as well as a few more things besides. It might be time to get yourself one, yes?
