Let’s check out something else from Chinese tech-maker Huawei, who are making better and better devices. Soon they’re going to be standing and slugging it out with the likes of Samsung and LG, if hardware like the P8 LTE smartphone is anything to go by.
Huawei’s flagship smartphone isn’t anything to mess with, being a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a brilliant pixel density of 424ppi. It’s right up with the best of them at this point, and the rest of the hardware bears this out.
For the P8, Huawei have elected to use their own processing hardware. We can understand the choice, as the Hisilicon Kirin 930, an octa-core chip made by the company themselves, is a decent whack of CPU. The 2.0GHz chip is also backed by a 3GB system memory allocation and there’s 16GB of storage out of the box with this model of the P8 as well.
Huawei have included a 13MP camera on the rear but they have not skimped on the front cam either – that’s an 8MP affair on its own. So all the selfie fans will be pleased with the P8.
This Android 5.0 handset uses a nanoSIM (a single one) and also features enough space for a microSD if the default storage isn’t enough for you. There’s WiFi and Bluetooth support out of the box, and the P8 is also LTE-capable, for those times when you need some blistering internet speeds. For us, that’s always.
Which brings us down to the battery, a solid little 2,680mAh affair that will keep your spiffy hardware ticking over for ages between charges. And if you’re after something similar on a budget… well, we’ll get to that soon.
