Microsoft has, in a recent update of their By-The-Numbers website, revealed that the company has just about doubled the number of apps on the Windows Phone app store compared to last year. That is, in addition to giving out information on Microsoft employees’ sandwich-eating habits.

Speaking the The Next Web, a Microsoft spokesperson said that “We have more than 300,000 Windows Phone apps today and the Windows Phone Store continues to grow.”

“In the past year alone the Windows and Windows Phone app catalog has grown 94%, while the number of active developers has grown by 50%.”

According to Microsoft, the information found on the By The Numbers site is current as of June 2014, so the number of available apps on the company’s mobile store has likely climbed some since then.
