Microsoft in on track to announce a new collection of camera-focused smartphones from Nokia, according to a media invitation that sets the date for the reveal of something new from the Redmond-owned smartphone maker.

Microsoft is inviting press to the 4 September reveal of something new, which will be taking place at IFA in Berlin. IFA traditionally has more than a few smartphone reveals happen and this year looks to be a bumper crop for the event.

There are two possibilities with the upcoming reveal, either the Lumia 720 which is expected to feature a large ‘selfie’ camera unit or the Lumia 830, which might boast a 13MP camera in an aluminium smartphone body. Or it could even be something we haven’t even suspected that will give the 41MP Lumia 1020 a run for its money. We’ll know more on the day.
