Microsoft and Samsung have had their tiffs in the past but at least some of that is now behind them. How do we know? Because they both said so, posting identical statements to their respective websites letting the world know that they’re no longer arguing over royalty payments for Android patents.

The statement posted by both companies reads: ““Samsung and Microsoft are pleased to announce that they have ended their contract dispute in U.S. court as well as the ICC arbitration. Terms of the agreement are confidential.” – Samsung’s Jaewan Chi, Executive Vice President and Global Legal Affairs & Compliance Team and Microsoft’s David Howard, Corporate Vice President and Deputy General Counsel.”

Long story short, they’re not going to be taking any Android troubles to court, but they’re also not planning on telling the world just how they managed to come to a more amicable agreement than most tech giants are able to arrange these days. Still, it’s good news for all concerned – Samsung, Microsoft, as well as the customers who love their products.
