On Tuesday, 8 December 2015, Microsoft launched the Microsoft Store for South Africa at the #MicrosoftSummer event. This is an online platform where South Africans can get the company’s products and services in Rands; this was previously only available in the US.
“The explosion of social and mobile technology has ignited ‘the era of the smart shopper’ where consumer purchase decisions are determined through online product and service content and reviews. We are also finding that more and more local consumers look to benefit from the convenience afforded to them from secure online shopping and free delivery, which they can find in the Microsoft online store” says Zoaib Hoosen, MD of Microsoft South Africa.
Some of the products that can be found on the online store include: Xboxes, PCs, Tablets, games, Office 365 subscriptions and more.
The newly launched Lumia 950 and 950XL with Windows 10 are also available.
The store can be found here.
