Microsoft has done it once already and they’ve gone and done it again. And by ‘it’ we mean: sell out of their Surface Book notebooks. It was a little while ago that the pre-order stock was all sold out in the States, a situation that Microsoft fixed by diverting more units to the country.

And even these units have gone now, with the company simply listing certain configurations as out of stock.

Whether they will be increasing production of the Surface Book models in question is uncertain. It look as though the company only made a limited number and they might not have plans to pump out a few more, no matter how popular they’ve proved to be. Which kind of makes sense, as the company’s always been more about the software than the hardware, but fans will be sad about that.
