Samsung has been going wild in the world of wearable smart device but Microsoft isn’t planning on being left by the wayside, if  a report from Forbes is accurate.

According to Forbes, Microsoft is planning on making an announcement concerning their very own smartwatch which will focus on heart-rate monitoring as well as having several standard notification functions. What is most surprising about the report is that Microsoft’s device will supposedly support both Android and iOS devices in addition to the company’s own operating systems.

Apparently there’s two days worth of battery life planned for the as-yet unnamed smartwatch and Microsoft is going to be including some Kinect-based tech to keep track of the user’s heart rate.

Other features include a small, full colour screen and some still-unspecified sensors that will run alongside the heart-rate tracker.
