This isn’t the conventional way that we’d find out news about Microsoft but game publisher Electronic Arts has, during their lasts financial results report in an earnings call, given some details on how well the Microsoft-exclusive shooter Titanfall has been doing.

According to EA Titanfall has moved over 925,000 units from the time when it launched in March through to the end of the reporting period, creeping up on the 1 million mark in just three weeks. These numbers, which combined games sold on Windows PCs and the Xbox One in the United States, don’t account for digital sales on either platform, nor do they pull in any numbers from overseas sales of the title.

Titanfall has been credited with helping Microsoft to shift a fair few of their Xbox One consoles, with the online shooter being very received wherever it has launched.
