Chinese company Lenovo hasn’t said anything official but local social media outlet Sina Weibo has been the recipient of images that seem to be taken from an internal company event. Those images show off Lenovo’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Vibe Z2 Pro, while listing the major specifications for the device.
Lenovo are going to be moving back to a metal body for their smartphones with the Z2 Pro, it seems, and they’re dropping a hefty chunk of hardware into the new shell to act as an engine. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core chip will be present, as will a 6-inch quad HD display. So it’s more a phablet than a phone.
The camera will be an optical image stabilised 16MP shooter that will come with dual LED flashes and the whole lot will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery that should last all day and then some.
Lenovo hasn’t made an official announcement, as we’ve noted, so availability regions or an estimated price are still not known at this point.
