Review: Toshiba P50t-B1362
It’s long past time when we took a look at a stonking great-big notebook from Toshiba and we reckon that the Toshiba P50t-B1362 is a good place to start. We’ve examined the A0377 version of this notebook before but the Toshiba P50t-B1362 has something a bit special.
That something special comes in the form of an Ultra HD display, which features a 15.6-inch size as well as the full 3840 x 2160 UHD resolution. Oh, yeah, and we should probably mention that this is a touchscreen display as well.
In terms of internal hardware, there’s an Intel Core i7-4720 HQ processor doing service inside this UHD rig, as well as a hefty 16GB of RAM. You know, in case you’d like to load everything into system memory.
Storage is taken care of by a 1TB hybrid drive, so you can get the best of both worlds without sacrificing too much internal space and there’s a 2GB third-party graphics solution in this machines as well. The Toshiba P50t-B1362 is pretty well outfitted, all considered.
There’s a Blu-ray optical drive included, as well as Bluetooth, WiFi, and a backlit keyboard to look forward to.
The Toshiba P50t-B1362 is also able to output an HDMI signal to a compatible 2K or 4K UHD TV, which is a pleasant bonus. And it’s not bad at all for a notebook that comes in at just 2.35kg. So you’re looking at portable 4K and you’re not even looking at it on an overpriced smartphone screen. Win.
