Review: Epson EH-TW9200
TVs are a part of everyday life. So much so that you can custom-order humongous sets from several bit name companies but that gigantic screen typically comes with an equally gigantic price tag. So what do you do if you’re after the size but you’re not willing to shell out over R1 million for a monster screen? You get a projector, of course.
And if you’re talking a home theatre projector, then you need to be looking at the Epson EH-TW9200. Why? First of all, because it’s an Epson.
Second of all, it’s all the features that this Epson has. The Epson EH-TW9200 is billed as one of the brightest home theatre projectors on the market, making it ideal for all-day use. The brighter your lamp, the less darkness you need in order to make use of this little gadget. And the EH-TW9200 comes with 2400 lumens of brightness.
But that’s not all, obviously. It’s got a 600000:1 contrast ratio for you to play with, uses the company’s 3LCD technology and outputs in Full 1080p HD as well as 3D.
It’s got a max projection size of 300 inches, something that your average TV will be extremely hard-pressed to do without costing the same as a small country.
It’s also got a full collection of ports, from Component to dual HDMIs as well as USB, a host of software features and enough smarts to situate this model right near the top of Epson’s Home Theatre range. So the question really isn’t whether you want one. The question is when you’re planning to take delivery of one. We suspect it’ll be just before a major sporting event.
